Indigo Horizon
Indigo Horizon, was created during my summer residency at the Burren College of Art in Ballyvaughn, County Clare, Ireland in 2012. This piece explores a sense of place related to complex themes of memory, time, and personal narrative. These experiences are often reflected in the impermanent borderlands of horizon imagery I like to call a memory’s landscape.
Using an intuitive dyeing method, and designed to mirror the horizons at the Cliffs of Moher in the Burren, this installation of fabric swatches was created via overdyeing with indigo repeatedly and is 10 ft. in length.
