Stephany Latham (b. 1986, Cincinnati, OH) is an artist living and working in Detroit, MI, whose work explores impermanence, memory, place, and the body. She works across handweaving, natural dyes, and foundry metal sculpture by translating the landscape into a healing symbol through cast and woven forms. Stephany received her Master of Arts from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and holds a dual career as an Art Therapist. She has exhibited nationally and taught workshops on weaving and natural dyeing throughout the Midwest. Recent residencies include a sculpture fellowship at Vermont Studio Center, textile and dye research at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, and a digital weaving residency at Praxis Fiber Workshop.
