Stephany Latham is an emerging interdisciplinary artist, living and working in Detroit, MI whose work explores traditional and contemporary methods of handweaving, encaustic painting, natural dye applications, and foundry metal sculpture. She received her Master of Arts at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago, and currently runs a community art therapy studio for adults healing from trauma. Stephany has exhibited her work nationally, and has taught workshops on weaving, along with natural dyeing within the Midwest. Her most recent artist residencies involved textile and natural dye research at The Burren College of Art in Ireland, and a community centered textile and natural dye collaborative project at Mather Lifeways in Evanston, IL.
